Preflop

This page shows Cepheus’ strategy in the first round of the game, called the Preflop. These action probabilities are identical to those found on the Strategy page, but are presented as diagrams.

NOTE: This figure is intentionally black. The acting player (the Small Blind) has only a tiny probability of calling as their first action with any of their hands.

Use the eight tabs above to select one of the eight betting sequences in the Preflop. The figure will then show the probability of folding, calling, and raising with each of the 169 strategically distinct two-card hands. These action probabilities are identical to those found on the Strategy page, but presented as diagrams.

Move your mouse over the figure, and the details for that particular hand will be shown on the right. The “Probability” line shows the probability that the acting player would have taken their actions earlier in this betting sequence. If an entry in the figure is dark or black, this means that the player had a low or zero probability of reaching this betting sequence with that hand. If the entire figure is black, it means that they will not reach this betting sequence with any of their hands.
